The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released its proposed tailpipe emissions rules for cars and light trucks made between 2027 and 2032. The proposed goal is for a fleet average emissions of 82 grams of CO2 per mile by the 2032 model year. The EPA predicts that to meet this target will require up to 67% EV sales by the 2032 model year and also includes new emissions standards for medium-duty commercial vehicles.
