A federal tax credit for many American-made electric vehicles will be reduced on April 18th. This includes cars from Tesla, General Motors, and Nissan. The credit will drop from $7,500 to $3,750 for each electric vehicle due to the fact that these OEMs have sold over 200,000 vehicles across the U.S. The tax credit is part of the federal government's effort to encourage people to switch to electric vehicles.
