What to Expect During the Claims Process

As a claims administrator specializing in transportation related claims, Corporate Claims Service (CCS), a subsidiary of One80 Intermediaries, is dedicated to ensuring that each of our clients experiences a fair and equitable resolution of their properly filed insurance claim. Knowing what to expect when you file a claim can help make the process easier to navigate. Though different types of claims are handled a little differently, most GMI claims follow the same basic steps.

Once you file a claim, you’ll get a claim number that will help you track your claim

Step 1: File your Claim

Step 2: Investigate Claim

We may need to investigate the details of your loss. If so, one of our claims professionals will walk you through the process and answer all of your questions or concerns.

Step 3: Evaluate Damage

A professional will assess the damage, determine what needs to be repaired or replaced and provide you with an estimate.

Step 4: Review Estimate

Once you’ve received an estimate of the damage, your claims adjuster will discuss your settlement based on your policy provisions, terms and coverage.

Step 5: Wrap Up Your Claim

Your claims adjuster may send you any applicable payments and can answer any questions you may have.

At the end of the day, if our clients are not satisfied with our handling of their claim, we have not accomplished our ongoing mission of delivering “specialized resolution claims handling”.
